Standard & Premium Routes

You have access to five routing options with grnVoIP.

By default, every customer is assigned a unique prefix for Standard, Premium and Special routes. At your request, we will provde an additional trunk group option with a new prefix for Standard rates using 1/1 billing increments or for T.38 Fax routes.

Standard Routes – Our Standard routes have been tuned to prioritize the best possible rates with ASR and ACD that are within acceptable parameters. These routes use our Standard rate table and are billed using 30/6 intervals, except for USA (billed at 6/6 intervals) and Mexico (billed at 60/60 intervals).

Premium Routes – Our Premium routes have been tuned to prioritize the best available ASR and ACD without regard to the rates. These routes use our Premium rate table and are billed using 1/1 intervals, except for USA (billed at 6/6 intervals) and Mexico (billed at 60/60 intervals).

Special Routes – Our Special routes consist of lower rates that may be available for a short time only. These routes use our Special rate table and are billed using 1/1 intervals, except for USA (billed at 6/6 intervals) and Mexico (billed at 60/60 intervals). In the event that a Special route is withdrawn (due to unavailability from the underlying carrier), calls using the special rate prefix will be rejected with the appropriate error code to allow forward routing.

Dialer Routes – Many carriers discourage call campaigns and predictive dialers by imposing limitations concerning average call duration (ACD), average seizure rate (ASR) and calls per second (CPS).  To address these issues we can provide dedicated switching facilities to call center customers.  These facilities have been engineered to process thousands of call attempts per second using  a separate rate table that is composed of underlying carriers that have a higher tolerance for this type of traffic.  To receive a Dialer Rates trunk group, please contact technical support and ask for a dialer prefix.

T.38 Fax Routes – Unlike the bulk of our routes, which use Tier 1 VoIP carriers, this routing option has been configured to connect directly to a Cisco voice gateway and PRI TDM circuit located in our facility. We have found that this is the only way to provide reliable and consistent T.38 fax support. The T.38 routes use our Premium rate table. To use it, you must send calls with a unique prefix that will be routed to the Cisco gateway.
